For this project, we were tasked with drawing inspiration from Paula Scher, a prominent figure in postmodern graphic design, to create a Shakespeare theatre poster. Postmodernism, as exemplified by Scher's typography, emphasizes concrete experience over abstract principles, acknowledging the fallibility and relativity of individual perspectives. In my design, I incorporated these themes by carefully crafting a hierarchy of typography and selecting a color palette that reflects the uncertainty and subjectivity inherent in postmodernist philosophy. By embracing these principles, I aimed to create a poster that challenges traditional notions of design and invites viewers to question their own perceptions.
